It’s very straightforward. All you need to know are a few basic details of your vehicle, such as the vehicle model and year of registration in Spain. Plus a few more related to your driving license, such as the issue date.
The cost calculator is designed to show you all the possible options in the most straightforward way, which is why we automatically calculate the cost for all our third-party insurance types as well as fully comprehensive insurance with excess at the end of the process. This allows you to compare the possible options and choose the one that best suits your needs.
We mean the original date on which you obtained your driving licence for the first time in your country of origin. In any case, we do not refer to the validation date in Spain. If you were under the age of 18 when you obtained your driving licence (for example, you were 16 or 17 years old) you will have to introduce the year in which you turned 18, which is the minimum legal age in Spain to be able to drive. This way, you will have to add a year or two to the date of issue of your licence, for example:
Date of birth: 01/01/1980
Date of issue of your licence in your country: 01/01/1996
Date of issue of the licence that you will need to include in order to continue with the process: 01/01/1998
You can add a second driver in the online form to take out the insurance, following the cost calculation step.
Yes. Once we display the costs, click on “Your insurance” and change your details without having to repeat the calculation process.
Yes, because the information associated with your car registration affects the cost of your insurance: year of vehicle, previous claim history, other insurance policies, etc.
Absolutely not. There are no obligations for using our cost calculator. If any of the options are in line with what you’re looking for, you can take out the policy afterwards.
Once you finish the calculation process, we will ask for your email address to send you the personalised quotes for each type of insurance.
We request your NIE so that we can save your quote in our database alongside your identification details. But remember, obtaining your quote does not mean you are required to take out a policy.
